Through our SA Workforce Housing Fund and IHS Fund II, we have partnered with 19 property companies to fund the development of more than 35 housing projects in key locations throughout South Africa.
The map below shows the locations of our developments and highlights two of our current projects in Gauteng.
Investment types include equity investments (alongside developer partners’ equity and local debt) in properties which are primarily for sale or to rent.
These are in new constructions of mixed-income housing, rental rehabilitation or conversion, and typically located in large urban areas.
IHS also invests (alongside experienced developers and investors) by purchasing turn key developments for its own account.
The Funds’ exit from investments is expected to be through the sale of developed homes and the sale or listing of its rental portfolio.
