Asset Management/Performance Monitoring

Investor relations includes developing operational best practices to ensure fiduciary compliance, and that OPIC and the Limited Partners (LPS) are kept updated on fund activities, including portfolio company performance and developments within the geographic areas in which IHS invests.

On a quarterly basis, investors receive a package that includes:

• Fund financial statements (unaudited)
• Capital call and distribution history
• Realized deals and returns to date
• Asset level review, including an overview of each investment, financial summary, social impact indicators, and performance metrics specific to each investment type
• Pipeline of deals
• Review of macroeconomic and microeconomic factors specific to the regions where the Fund invests
• Recent media coverage

On an annual basis, investors receive:

• Audited annual financial statements
• The current valuation of each real estate investment in the fund

The fund began investing its capital in the second quarter of 2008. As at Q1 2012, the Fund had committed R1.3 billion in 27 projects.
